I went to Shokudo a 2nd time just a few days ago. Wanted to upload pictures and ramble about it since the 1st, but was lazeh D: sorry couldn't find a better time, but here it goes~ XD
Note: Shokudo is a japanese food bazaar located at Raffles city basement k. The food and service there is.... full of win! /propaganda
The entrance. The queue was winding, and then stretches until the escalators @.@ that was the 1st time I got there. Typical Saturday night queues... too bad I didn't take a picture of the queue XD a few people actually did, and one even took a video! like wth.
Inside #01. That guy was staring at me the whole time. not my fault he was in my way u.o Oh and did I tell you the interior of the place was HUGE?

Yeah k, alright, fine. Here comes the main section of this post. And the main reason I'm posting.
Note: I didn't eat all this by myself in one visit kthx ._. It's my family and my food in 2 visits.
The most generous helping of curry rice I have ever seen. and the BEST tasting curry rice I ever tasted (no, serious! XD)
Mushroom and cheese omelet~
Omu rice (tomato rice in omelet) with grilled chicken.
Whole grilled squid. Lookit how they slice it up so thinly and evenly >.<
Forgot the name of this one. It's fried rice with some sort of roe.
Mushroom and cheese pizza. It's extremely thin and crispy, like tortilla chips @.@ we tried the curry and potato one during the 1st visit but they swallowed it before I could take a picture D: that one tasted better than this one btw :)
I think this one's japanese fish burger with wasabi mayo. The wasabi mayo is SO slight that even -I- don't mind eating it :D
Ramune~ <3 it's strawberry flavoured :3 (I always try to take out the ball whenever I drink Ramune, to no avail XD)

DESSERTS! Mango slush ice with kuzukiri (some sort of jelly).
Cold red bean paste with plain mochi. They also have the warm one here which looks exactly the same but at different places. Apparently my brother got the warm one while I got the cold one at the same time by accident XD
Tofu cheesecake with strawberry dressing. I'm not sure if tofu is really part of the ingredients... or is it just called that way cause of its shape? The strawberry makes it really yummy tho =9
Red bean and chestnut crepe. Personally I don't really like this one cause it's not sweet enough for me :(

I had a really weird but fun dream last night :D
It had 3 parts cause my alarm had to ring thrice before I finally woke up.
I dreamed about the school again. Why is it always the school?? Last time it was the same compound with different buildings... well now it's the same compound but it was replaced with a resort. Yeah, a resort. With tall buildings and plants and footpaths and a big swimming pool that replaces the parade square. I think I'm supposed to be in some sort of RPG and solve things. Yeah.
For some reason, I found this hidden door that leads underground, and I found myself in a tiny rock cave with a stream in it. Strange thing was, there were birds down there. A dark blue bird came up to me and gave me a handful (beakful?) of candy, and also to 2 other people who were there with me. Don't know who they are. Then the bird turned into a girl, and she told me about herself and her bird-people living down there. Saying that they can't go above ground for dunno whatever reason but were glad they could make friends with us. It was supposed to be a touching scene, but I know I'm not good at describing here. K so we're supposed to keep their existence a secret.
Anyway, we were now above ground. Seems like I'm supposed to take part in some sort of race, like fear factor. I'm supposed to run from the swimming pool area (parade square) to the staircase at #01-01 and run all the way up. So I ran. In sandals. Tied to my feet with ropes. Don't ask. Strangely there were many more plants in the route than I imagined. Oh oh and when I ran, flowers grow behind me. Crap I played too much Okami. I could've sworn the trees around me were in sumi-e as well. Apparently the other competitors were Tanoto and Minhan. I was ahead of them (which was supposedly impossible), but staircases aren't my thing and so Minhan beat me to it. At the very top there was a huge pit, with some strange-looking hovering machines in them. Minhan reached there first and so he went for this stage first. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do. Hop on them to the other end? Those machines just don't look very friendly.
At that moment my alarm rang. So I didn't get to see Minhan get eaten by those machines or something. But I fell asleep again, and the dream continued.
This time I found myself in the swimming pool. There were Felicia, Huaqiang and Pearson there if I remembered. I have no idea why. Anyway there were A LOT of other students in the pool as well, having their own fun. While I was talking to Huaqiang there was a sudden huge wave that submerged us all. I was like wth where did that wave come from? And then Huaqiang and Pearson explained that every few minutes they launch a cannonball into the pool for some fun wave effect with a real ancient cannon. Yay?
In the end I didn't get much clues from those guys on what to do next in this so-called RPG. When I was out of the pool I became dry straight away. The supposed owner of the resort came up to me and handed me a paper. He's a man in business suit and shades. Not Mrs Ong. He said that he wants me to be a patrol officer in the compound. Oh the fun thing was, all the patrol officers/lifeguards/security guards are cosplayers. He told me that my duty starts tomorrow and I'm supposed to dress up as Lelouch. That's fun. Considering I don't even watch Code Geass, or am able to produce an outfit in a day. Anyway I was glad cause this could be another task in the game.
There goes the snoozed alarm. Fell asleep again anyway.
This time I was a GUY. And I was in one of the rooms of the resort with an old friend of mine. He should be about 20 now. It's been a while since we talked eh. He was sitting on the bed using a laptop. I came into the room holding a wetsuit. I sat beside him and asked him if I should change into the wetsuit and go swimming. He said go ahead, and change in the room. I sat on the floor at the end of the bed and changed. Yeah, you could guess. This part of the dream is about shounen-ai. XD
Cool, I dreamed that I was a guy and was gay.
Anyway there goes the snoozed alarm again. It must've rang earlier so that I couldn't see what happens next! Gawddammit.
It's been a very long, crazy dream, I must agree with you @.@ but ah~ dreams are dreams. You can't help dreaming about something. That was fun X3

He even pwned me in English >.< Thanks for teaching me amath though =) I got my distinction~ For chinese o lvls, isshoni ganbarimashou~ ^^
Congrats to those who got the results they wanted. Jiayou to those who have yet to achieve them. Especially Junkai, buck up! I know you can do it de! My aniki Rachel too, work hard!
And yeah I should tell myself those encouraging words as well lol. I should do it like GTO - wear a headband with spikes attached to it so when I fall asleep on the table I get poked and have a bloodied face. That should keep me awake and focused! Nah just kidding.

Cause I'm totally in love with that game and can't find a better time to post about it.
Unique style, unique features, beautiful story, beautiful songs, creative designs, creative combination of different folktales... Overall just a word to describe Okami: Beautiful.
What other RPGs have traditional sumi-e style like Okami? What other RPGs allow you to freely draw brush strokes to perform miracles? What other RPGs mix different japanese folktales together to create one beautiful flow? What other RPGs are there where flowers grow on the land you tread on? What other RPGs require you to fight the same boss 3 times? And other bosses twice? O.o
Finally finished playing it... but I wish it won't end TAT. I hope there's plans for Okami 2 or something... though fat chance cause... the game story itself is sad, the story of the producers themselves is sad >.>
Apparently 3 key members left and Clover Studio was forced to shut down few weeks after Okami was released. It also suffered from poor sales for some time. Uwaaahhh... now that they've made it into WII, I WANT IT ON DS KTHX.
One thing I'm unsatisfied about it is that... it is a very much colourful, beautiful game with a nostalgic japanese atmosphere of ancient gods, demons, curses, villages, forests, tengus, imps, sword-wielding cranes... and the last boss, the ruler of darkness, the evilest of the evil in the whole plot... was a giant metallic sphere. Oh oh it can transform into a robot, a slot machine and a giant metallic claw too. Yay!
K well nevermind one flaw. I love the rest of the whole thing <3
Can't stop listening to the ending theme over and over. It's sung by Ayaka Hirahara titled "Reset". Yeah you can guess, it's an emo song for an emo ending. The ending was emo that I cried towards it ;-;
Naw it's okay you can tell everyone >.>
So now I shall do at least 15 sketches as a tribute to Okami! 1 for a gijinka of Ammy (done that), 13 for gijinkas of the other brush gods, and 1 for just a fanart. I must be mad.

I dunno what got me to actually start noticing this old, dusty blog again. I just happened to find it and kinda miss it aww...
Now when I looked back at my old posts, I realised how depressed I sounded everytime! XD geez wonder why... anyway, life's been good this past year ^^
Been busy playing games, sketching, learning to CG, and yes studying! It's an important year this year D:
One thing. I do not publicise my blog XD so there will be very few (if any) comments, or whatever things that people do when they blog-hop. So don't expect anything much from me. I have this blog for the sake of having it XD
I'm not gonna share too much personal rants here anymore, cause I hate reading people's rants on their blogs too, especially when they're long, wordy, and full of curses and swears and all the usual emo stuff. zzz. Whenever I feel like ranting, I open a new text document, and start typing nonstop for 30 mins. Yep. Makes things easier. My rants to myself. Cause I realised how people get flamed, stalked, even beaten up for "accidentally" typing things which are offensive to a certain party on their blog posts. AND THATS DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS. So I'm playing it safe ;D
I'm just gonna post whatever I feel like posting here. Like my DA journal. Whenever I'm feeling lame or high or have fun things to share.
